I need to preface this review with the fact that I am 100% enamored with this series and when it comes to Wynchesters, Ridley can do no wrong. This one had everything you expect from the series: queer representation, disability representation, Ocean's 11 grade hijinks and romance that is as steamy as it is sweet.
Marjorie has long been one of my favorite siblings and I was very excited to read her book. Working in the field of of forgeries, but always for good, provided a plot line to romance that created some tension, but of a low-key variety. There was just enough derring-do to move the plot along, but nothing was so overwrought that it felt gratuitous (as sometimes can happen in the genre).
Now, I do have to add the disclaimer that the suspension of disbelief required for the Wild Wynchesters is a bit more than romance novels usually need. You do have to be willing to roll along with ideas like "trained homing hedgehogs" and "ye olde networks of information that work faster than Google." However, that is what makes these books so much fun. Master of disguise? Why not! Master forgeries as a hobby? Sure! Independent wealth so large that an entire family can dabble in vigilante justice for funsies? Absolutely! 100% on board with this plan!
Add this one, and the entire series really, to your TBR list if you like diverse romances with a super fun covert ops twist.
