The first novella in this series was amazing, and this one only gets better. While I am enjoying the romance novella as a format more and more (its a great way to get to the *good stuff* fast), writing one with solid character development, backstory and plot can be a challenge. Jess Michaels accomplishes this so well! These characters have real chemistry, backstories that inform behavior without being overly tragic/tropey and reach a resolution that makes sense. While the set-up exists only to fuel the playing out of the fantasy (it is exactly as advertised!) the story still feels authentic and not trite. The spice is fantastic, Michaels has really found a niche in her MMF romances, and I can not wait to read the next story in this series.
