Rake I’d Like to F… by Sierra Simone, Joanna Shupe, Eve Leigh, Nicola Davidson and Adriana Herrara

With this collection of authors it will come as no surprise that these short stories are amazing!
A great collection of spicy historical romances featuring same-sex partners, throuples and more.
Trapped in Garoureve by Elle M. Drew
✩✩✩✩✩
This continuation of the Shifters of Garoureve was as much fun to read as the previous books in
the series. The best part? When "needing therapy" is short-handing for a man's personality,
everyone actually gets some therapy! Good stuff. On the flip-side I couldn't get as invested in
this couple since Gina flirts with being “not like other girls”/”I claim to be handful but really I am
immature and violent” just a bit too hard. Otherwise, it was great to see more world building by
Drew and I am already excited for the next book this summer.
Praise by Sara Cate
✩✩✩✩✩
Was this a fun read with lots of smut and not too many details bogging down the fun? It sure
was. The premise of our male lead being a sex-club owner fast tracks the spice and creates a
backdrop that makes the insta-lust plausible enough. That said, this is just a Fifty
Shades/Secretary mash up that only improves mildly on the former. I would still put in on your
TBR pile (it is a BookTok favorite), but go into it knowing what you are gonna get.
Hot Wife by Kate Blackthorne
✩✩✩✩✩
Even for a novella not much is going on here. The premise isn’t really true to how “hotwife”
relationships work. The characters are tropey to the point of being uninteresting. While the
answer to a love triangle being polyamory is a trend I would love to see more of…this one just
wasn’t it for me.
