This book was a genuinely mixed bag for me. Recommended by BookTok on Kindle Unlimited,

I went in knowing it was likely light on plot and heavy on the spice/archetypes. So, in short:

The good:

    Pretty spicy, the characters have chemistry.
    Centered around a situation that could "reasonably" happen

The bad:

    Male lead is not tortured or damaged, he is a jerk and even when he undergoes his
    character growth, he is at best still a full-time fixer-upper. Men who don't work on
    themselves until it is a barrier to their own wants and needs kind of leave me cold.

Overall, an easy read if you want some mild romance tropes with a bit of spice.
