The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood

The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood

Rating:   ✩✩✩✩✩

Having just reviewed two books that earned low rating for predictability, this book will be lauded for that same predictability.  The classic “fake dating” trope meets a touch of “missed connections” all set in academia.  The focus on women in STEM (even if some of it was wayyyyyyy too close to home despite it being almost 20 years since I was in a lab!) was delightful.  The romance is a classic “hot mess express” captures the heart of the grumpy stoic and every minute of it was great.  The self-referential riffs on romance tropes as they happen was pretty cute and reminds the reader that this book doesn't take itself too seriously.  I already can not wait for the next book in this series.
