The Witches are Coming by Lindy West

This was a very fun, yet insightful, collection of essays covering everything from misogyny and fat phobia to politics and back again.  While I could quote Lindy West all day long, I wont spoil the read.  Instead I will just say that over and over again, she explicitly verbalizes what so many who are not cis-hetero-white men experience and feel.  The essays are, in turn, hilarious, heartbreaking and heartfelt.  In a time where so many of us are just plain worn down by dealing with seemingly unending attacks on our very persons, this book re-energizes our beliefs that all this is NOT OK and that we will continue to work for change, in ways big and small, whenever and wherever we can.
