NetGalley Review: Chasing Cassandra by Lisa Kleypass

I have a confession.  This was my first Kleypass romance.  Chasing Cassandra (The Ravenals #6) was a great introduction to an author who has been on my "to be read" list for years. 

This book is everything you want in a historical romance. Dashing male leads, daring heroines, a bit of drama and a whole lot of Capital-R-Romance.  I really enjoyed the family dynamics between the Ravenal siblings (I need to read the other books in this series ASAP!) and the give and take between Cassandra and Tom.  It was nice to see grand-gesture-grade love at first sight infused with some very real relationship elements. The interactions between the two define each as a substantial character even as we follow them to a classic happily ever after. 

I am a huge fan of the historical romance genre, and knew the name Kleypass, but had never read one of her books before (I know! It boggles the mind!).  Needless to say, this author is everything promised and more. I already have the other books in this series on hold at the library and look forward to adding this one to the collection.
