Look, this series is exactly what Mason promises. Women raised in purity culture living their best sexual lives as they enjoy HEAs. What more could you want? Sure, you have to ignore the rank-ridiculousness of the premise here, but as an enjoyer of fabricated teen/YA drama that could never happen in real life, this was a great read. Imagine a mash-up of every YA "he bets he can win her but instead she wins his heart" movie and TV show you have ever seen, but now it is capital "S" spicy...yeah, it is a good time.

Fans of Sierra Simone's Priest will enjoy this softer, less philosophical take on the trope. Mason's whole gig is "Women raised in purity culture living their best sexual lives as they enjoy HEAs," and I am here for it. This time our MMC is the one struggling with the issue or purity and the woman still caught up in its perils is in a supporting role. The premise is a bit more believable and we are finally working with characters who are fully adults, so that was a nice evolution. The book is sexy, ridiculous and fun while also deconstructing the damage done by purity culture. The next in the series is already queued up for the second it releases.
