This one was a DNF for me. I made it about 30% through the book and just couldn't continue. While it would be unfair to judge the whole book by this sample, what I did read was scattered to the point of being confusing and the characters were flat archetypes. The nail in the coffin however was, as it has been for all my ARCs that I chose to DNF, the fatphobia. Characters constantly bemoaning their weight and/or letting supporting characters participate in body shaming is not, in fact, a personality. Many readers appear to have enjoyed this book, so YMMV, but this one can go right on the "no thanks" pile for me.
