This was an enjoyable romance read with an interesting, but believable, premise. The "old romance reunited" trope creates a slow burn in the background of a classic "English cozy" about small town eccentricity. The impromptu lighthouse purchase and the existing shared history allow the reader to jump right into the fun. While I personally didn't love our protagonists, they served as excellent foils for the rest of the cast of characters. The overall effect is a heartwarming narrative about people finding their forever person amidst the often challenging background of real life. The story is as much about coming together for a cause and finding your place in a community as it is about the budding romance, overall a very nice read.
