A great full-length follow on from The Chili Cauldron Curse, One Poison Pie jumps right into the cozy mystery world of Mia the Kitchen Witch.
I genuinely enjoyed this read. Definitely on the “lighter” side of mystery fiction, but that is the point of cozies after all. This book delved deeper into the life of Mia, her family and friends in small-town Magic Springs and the backstory with her ex. Add in a mystery, some romantic inclinations and an undercurrent of magic? You have the recipe for my perfect series. My only critique is that I would love to see more of the magic aspect. I am curious about the mythos of magic in this world and hope to see more mystical arts in play in future books (books for which I am very excited!).
