This was an all around fun read! I love historical romances that hit my favorite tropes and this combination of “fake relationship” and “enemies to lovers” did the trick. The characters are well developed, show some growth and have some reasonable conflict. The cast of supporting characters are funny, smart and devoted to the protagonists. This helps create a very well rounded world for the series. The romance was hot, aided by the characters being older (at least by historical standards) and therefore a bit more ready to cast off the rules of society that has done them no real favors. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
